Special resolution 1: Change the name of the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Special resolution 2: Accept the new Constitution.
The draft Constitution follows the Model Rules set by the Queensland Government Office of Fair Trading and aims to provide a new, modernised governing instrument that establishes autonomy, future flexibility, and simplicity. Major changes include:
- Rule 2 Name – The proposed new Chamber name, Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Rule 3a(i) Objects – The focus of the Chamber to be inclusive of trade, small business, commerce and industry.
- Rule 9 Admission and rejection of new members – Proposed new standard model rule process of approving membership at regular Board meetings.
- Rule 18(2) Membership of the Board – Board members are to be current financial members at all times.
- Rule 18(3) Membership of the Board – Board member term of office is two years.
- Rule 18(4) Membership of the Board – At each annual general meeting of the association, fifty (50%) per cent of members of the Board who have served a two (2) year term must retire from office, but are eligible, on nomination, for re-election for another two (2) year term.
