Our Ten Point Plan
To guide our advocacy efforts, our Ten Point Plan to aims to reflect and clearly articulate the major issues of shared aspiration and concern for the Whitsunday business community. Our Ten Point Plan provides Chamber with a consistent, comprehensive and inclusive approach to advocacy.
Our Ten Point Plan to improve business conditions and regional economic growth includes the following:
- Red tape and regulatory simplification to get into business, and back to business, quickly and easily.
- Regional infrastructure for world-class transport, housing, health, safety, education, cultural and public amenities.
- Workforce development pathways and practices to attract and retain a stable highly skilled workforce.
- Attract investment and access to finance that is diverse, fair, and available to all regional businesses.
- Support for national scalability and exporting that opens a world of possibilities for regional businesses.
- Business interruption support that builds resilience in times of natural disasters and cyber disruption.
