As the year comes to a close, we extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the combined Tourism Whitsundays and Whitsunday Chamber of Commerce End-of-Year Networking Event at the Airlie Beach Hotel. It was a fantastic evening, bringing together members of our vibrant business community in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. A special mention goes to those who supported the silent auction, with all proceeds going to Eco Barge Clean Seas.
The event also served as a timely reminder that the silly season is officially here! Whether you’re in retail, hospitality, or any other industry, now is the time to prepare.
Have you considered…
Staffing needs – Are you ready for the holiday rush or staff taking leave?
Stock and logistics – Is your supply chain robust and ready for increased demand?
Weather preparedness – Do you have contingency plans for potential extreme weather or disruptions?
Take a moment to rethink, review, and refine your plans for the busy months ahead.
A Time for Thanks and Community Support
As we close off the calendar year, it’s a perfect opportunity to say thanks—thanks to your team, your loyal customers, and our incredible local community for their continued support.
One meaningful way to show your appreciation is by shopping local this festive season. Every dollar spent within our region contributes to local jobs, businesses, and the sustainability of the Whitsundays community. Together, we can strengthen our economy and build a thriving future.
Looking Ahead to 2025
The Chamber is excited for what’s to come in 2025! Here’s a snapshot of what’s planned:
Federal Election Advocacy – Including a Meet the Candidate event to ensure your voice is heard.
Whitsunday Business Conference – Mark your calendars for Thursday, 28 August 2025, for a day dedicated to learning, networking, and growth.
Continued focus on evolving membership services and expanding business education programs to meet the needs of our members.
Festive Season Break
The Chamber Board and Liaisons will be taking a short festive season break from Monday, 24 December to Sunday, 6 January, inclusive. We look forward to reconnecting in the new year with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
On behalf of the Chamber Board, we wish all our members, supporters, and the broader Whitsunday business community a happy and safe festive season. Here’s to a prosperous 2025!
